Thanksgiving is such a special time of year to me! Spending time with family, baking, playing table games, crafts with my children, volunteering, cheering on the Dallas Cowboys, and most certainly Black Friday shopping!
My goal this year is to take the spirit of Thanksgiving with me throughout the rest of the year! Not that I complain all year long except on a four-day weekend in November but I want to be more thankful in my actions and the words I speak.
Knowing that I may need a reminder or two I've found a couple Bible verses that I'm going to write on index cards and post in a well-visible place in my home. So thankful I got that idea from Rosilind!
The scriptures I found that resonate with me are:
Words kill, words give life; they're either poison or fruit—you choose.
And whatever you do or say, do it as a representative of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through him to God the Father. Colossians 3:17
Reminders that I'll read before I start each day and may possibly need to read at the end of each day on my journey of learning thankfulness in the good times and the bad.
Thank you for sharing...
