If you've poked around here long enough you know that I am a huge fan of Good Morning Girls and Women Living Well.
In 2005 I joined a group of men and women in a chronological study of the Bible. It was such a wonderful study and I gained so much from it. Unfortunately, the leader decided not to continue it and thus began my search for another online Bible study. I tried a few, but they failed to hold my interest: they seemed dry and somehow forced.
I wanted to connect with people. Share my faults and failings, successes and victories. I wanted women I could laugh with and cry with.
I even tried to start my own a few times, but it never seemed to take off. I desperately wanted to connect with people this way, but year after year I came up empty.
In 2010 I decided to Google again. And I found Good Morning Girls. I figured I couldn't lose - if it was just another one of the same I could as easily un-join as join.
But I quickly felt so connected with the lady I emailed each day. We are still in touch! Each study brought a new revelation of God's Word in such a real way. Not only that, I can testify to the fact that the leaders are real, genuine and have a strong passion for the Lord.
Last year I had the privilege of joining the leadership team as the leader of the Croatian group. This has confirmed to me all the more just how the Lord has truly guided my path to a group of women who are inspiring, encouraging, genuinely caring, and passionate about leading women closer to Jesus.
I am so honored to be apart of this wonderful group of women from all over the world.
And January 14th kicks off the 2013 winter session
One thing I really enjoyed about the Advent study we just wrapped up was the fact that they included an entire section for children's activities. Including children in the study.
This was a huge hit with many of the women. And this time Good Morning Girls has paired up with The Dig to once again provide a way for moms and children to study together.
You can find more about that, and about signing up for the study here.
Good Morning Girls centers their Bible studies around the Bible: not a figure or a philosophy, and that is why I love them so much! They use the SOAP method of studying (Scripture, Observation, Application and Prayer), and I really love that because by the end of the study you have written out, by hand, massive portions of the Bible. And studies prove that this is a great tool in deeply absorbing material.
By signing up for the study you will receive the following for free:
- An eBook
- A bookmark with the schedule of verses for each day
- Access to vlogs by the leaders of GMG
- And blog posts in your inbox 3 times a day
Not to mention,
- A wonderful group of women to whom you are accountable
- A stronger relationship with Christ
And wait! There's more!
